When bo-mar was approached by Purdue University with just a rendering and architectural drawing for the interior of its Purdue Polytechnics building at Anderson, details for actually building the desired crane-inspired lighting feature hadn’t yet been considered.
Without direction beyond an initial concept rendering, the designers and engineers at bo-mar took the idea to the next level and conceived a way to make the feature buildable. The experts at bo-mar made material recommendations, engineered a system for suspending the 1,350-pound feature, and suggested its powder-coating finish.
