• La Plaza Mall project involved creating custom panels that bolted together to mount to the façade of three mall entrances (one renovation of an existing entrance, two newly constructed)  in McAllen, Texas, five hours south of Houston.
  • The project presented many challenges: developing the outrigger system to mount the panels to the building, precisely fabricating 3,600 panels, logistically transporting panels to the job site without scratching or damaging them, and adjusting our install schedule to accommodate mall access and working at night in the south Texas heat.
  • bo-mar’s production background became a strength for this project.  We were able to fabricate all the panels in eight variations that fit together perfectly with no gaps or holes.  This enhanced the lighting effect with the three-dimensional panels hanging 3′ off the surface of the building with the lighting in-between.
